This is what happened at the spring show.
The exciting, new 'Gardening with Nature' area will lead you down the garden path to discover what's living in your garden. Visit the wormeries, learn about your garden birds and find out how to turn your garden in to a wildlife haven. Sponsored by Briggs and Stratton.
'Gardening with Nature' brings together groups and charities from across Yorkshire who are all working to protect and encourage British wildlife. Creating the appropriate environment is crucial when encouraging wildlife into your garden but once you have achieved this the results will be worth it. Whether you are looking to identify garden birds, find pollinating plants or help to attract hedgehogs, 'Gardening with Nature' will help you along the way. It's not just about information, have a go - enter the competitions and see what you could be taking home with you!
The journey through 'Gardening with Nature' will bring you to the Optice Nerve, Harrogate College's unique sensory garden from recycled materials. Sustainability, accessibility and interactivity are integral to the garden, visitors are encouraged to explore this unique experience, hunt for worms and bugs, plant a seedling and visit the bug hotel!
'Gardening with Nature' was sponsored by Briggs and Stratton who launched their "Britain's Best Lawn" Competition at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
