Plans for growth at the Harrogate Flower Shows will continue apace in 2012 with the launch of two new hospitality services.Now the UK's biggest and most prestigious independent gardening events, the twice yearly shows will offer a new VIP experience, plus first class business hospitality.

Garden designers will today (Thursday 15 September) be putting the finishing touches to a stunning display of new show borders at the Harrogate Autumn Flower Show. Eight themed garden borders have been specially created for the autumn event, which runs from 16 to 18 September 2011. They offer a wide range of inspirational ideas from the transformational journey to recovery for an addict, to a riot of clashing colours inspired by the punk rock era.

Talented trainee chefs from across the region are getting ready to battle it out in a brand new head to head cooking challenge. Students from Leeds City and Harrogate Colleges will be dishing up their own master class in culinary skills as they race to create mouth-watering dishes in just 20 minutes at this year's centenary Harrogate Autumn Flower Show.

Whilst the country gears up for one of its greatest traditions, a royal wedding, the Harrogate Spring Flower Show follows in tradition and puts on a truly fabulous show for the 100th anniversary of the NEHS. There is even a royal feel to the show with HRH The Prince of Wales's influence and The Duchess of Northumberland visiting the show as its new president.
