Here are the answers to some of the questions we have been asked about the new autumn venue at Newby Hall:

A new home for Harrogate Autumn Flower Show

Why move to Newby Hall?

Newby Hall and its award-winning gardens are a jewel in North Yorkshire’s crown. Staging our autumn show in such a stunning location offers our visitors something no other major national flower show can provide – access to some of the best gardens in the country as well as admission to our fantastic show. This, together with their wide range of family activities, our long-standing relationship with the team at Newby and its easy access from the A1M motorway, makes it an ideal location for us.

Your 2020 Harrogate Autumn Flower Show

Will the new show have all my favourite features?

Yes, we plan to offer all the favourite attractions – giant veg, leading UK plant nurseries, fruit and veg shows, fantastic autumn blooms, talks and demonstrations, crafts, gifts, food etc. But, importantly, we will also be offering the fantastic Newby Hall gardens too!

What is the date of the new show?

Our first show at Newby will be 18 – 20 September 2020

Are the show opening hours changing?

No, the show hours will be the same.

How much will show tickets be?

You will be able to experience the flower show and visit Newby Hall gardens for just £22 on the day or *£19.50 when you book before Tuesday 8 September 2020.

Where and when can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be available by phone from 1 March 2020 and online after the Spring 2020 show.

Is access to Newby’s gardens included in the price of my ticket?


Is access to the house included with the ticket?

Part of the house is included displays for the show, but normal house tours will not be available during the flower show.

Is there anything for children to do?

Yes, Newby Hall has a fantastic adventure play garden, which is included in your admission to the show. There will also be a whole new range of fun family activities.

Will there be places to eat?

Yes, there will be a wide range of catering. We will have a restaurant marquee and a variety of the food outlets at the show. Visitors will also have access to Newby’s restaurant in the garden.

Will the show be wheelchair friendly?

Yes, the site will be fully accessible.

Are dogs allowed?

Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, we are not able to allow dogs, apart from assistance dogs.

How to get there

Newby Hall is located between Harrogate and Ripon, just off the A1M.

Is parking available and will it still be free?

Yes, there is plenty of free parking as usual

Will there be any Blue Badge parking?

Yes, we will allocate dedicated Blue Badge parking

Is there coach parking?

Yes, the site will be able to accommodate coaches

How can I get there by public transport?

There will be regular buses from Harrogate town centre to Newby Hall, so you can get the train to Harrogate and the bus to the show.

Harrogate Spring Flower Show

Is the spring flower show moving too?

No, the spring flower show will remain at the Great Yorkshire Showground and the next event will be 23 – 26 April 2020.
