Most of the outside stands are on hard paved areas and all the marquees are fully-ramped and floored making it accessible for wheel-chair users.
 
No pets other than guide/hearing dogs are allowed on the Showground or car parks. Please do not leave your pet unattended in the car - there is no shade and the police will be called if it is reported as showing signs of distress.
 

What's New!!

As part of the 'new look' food marquee we have a Cookery Theatre, sponsored by Fodder. Each day experienced chefs and food experts will demonstrate using fresh, local produce.
 
'Grow It' Demonstrations - learn more about growing your own fruit and vegetables, with advice on how to get started.
 
Sponsored by Lightwater Valley, the 'Spot It' Garden Hunt Children's Competition, with the chance to win a family season ticket to the theme park.
 
 
 

College Garden Design

The College Garden Design Area, sponsored by NS&I goes from strength to strength and for 2010 the challenge is greater than ever. Each college taking part is building a garden for a well-known BBC celebrity from their region.

Horticultural nurseries

 
The Harrogate Spring Flower Show is the first major independent horticultural show of the season. Flower Halls 1 & 2 are home to over 100 of the country's leading horticultural nurseries, all exhibiting and competing for Best in Show and the NEHS Trophy. All the nurserymen are experts in their field and are happy to offer specialist advice.
 
Over twenty nurseries have taken up the challenge of competing in the Innovative Display category.
This year the theme is 'It's Show Time' and they will be depicting their favourite musical or stage show.
 
 
 

Plant Societies' marquee

  • The Wakefield & North of England Tulip Society joins the Daffodil Society to put on two spectacular shows in the Plant Societies' Marquee 
  • Many national plant societies have exhibits, demonstrations and information stands, where their enthusiastic members are happy to give advice.

Floristry & Flower Arranging

  The Floristry & Flower Arrangement marquee is widely regarded as one of the premier independent venues in the UK, with 13 flower arrangement and 5 floristry classes, as well as many college and non-competitive major exhibits from invited NAFAS areas. This spectacular 18000 sq ft ruche-lined marquee provides a wonderful backdrop for flower arrangers and florists from all over the UK to show off their skills.

    The roadshow team is back on a mission to solve your garden problems; enjoy the question & answer sessions, interspersed with demonstrations.

Much of the Showground is hard-surfaced and over 70% of the Show is under cover, either in fully ramped and floored marquees or in the two permanent exhibition halls.
