This year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show, held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate between 24-27 April, marks the perfect beginning to a brand-new gardening season.

Welcoming up to 50,000 visitors across the four days, Harrogate Spring Flower Shows is one of the most highly anticipated events in the gardening calendar and this year’s show promises to be even more special than ever before.

The 4000m2 Grand Floral Hall will hum with the sound of horticultural activity as dozens of plant nurseries and specialist societies showcase hundreds of new and established plant varieties. For a hands-on experience, visitors can take part in a complimentary Floral Workshop hosted by the brilliant Leafy Couture, a locally-based floral design company to craft their own mini masterpiece. For those with burning gardening questions to be answered, check in at the Garden Advice Bureau, supported by the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, running throughout the show weekend, or take a seat at the Grow! live theatre where Garden News regular Martin Fish will be hosting talks and demonstrations throughout the day.

This spring, the much-loved Show Gardens will return, offering a rich source of inspiration for garden enthusiasts of all kinds. Visitors can immerse themselves in breathtaking designs from leading names such as Great British Garden Centres and Euphorbia Gardens, each presenting stunning outdoor spaces bursting with creativity. Meanwhile, Creative Borders - supported by the Association of Professional Landscapers - continues to shine with a fresh crop of innovative ideas, proving that even the smallest spaces can be transformed with imagination and flair.

For a world of floral wonder, step into the Floral Art Pavilion, where vibrant blooms and captivating themed installations await. Discover spectacular large-scale creations inspired by fairy tales, mythology, and folklore, brought to life by talented floristry students. Marvel at imaginative designs by floristry professionals and soak up the excitement of daily live flower arranging competitions. Celebrity florist and flower show favourite Jonathan Moseley, also returns to the ever-lively Create! stage with his entertaining and inspiring demonstrations.

Two further inspiring live features await visitors at this year’s show. The Human Gardener invites guests to enjoy thought-provoking conversations with the people behind the plants - from horticulturists and foragers to arborists and botanical artists. With a daily-changing line-up, this feature offers a rich menu of engaging and varied speakers.

New for 2025, those seeking ideas to transform their outdoor space can head to 60-Minute Gardening with garden designer Nick Fryer. Set within a dedicated garden plot, he will present simple yet impactful ways to refresh and reimagine any space. With three sessions daily, visitors can enjoy step-by-step demonstrations on everything from paving and structures to soft landscaping solutions.

With all this, plus fantastic garden shopping, a unique Home & Gift Pavilion and, of course, food and drink galore, there’s so much to enjoy at this year’s Harrogate Spring Flower Show.
